Mobile Movie Makers - Terms and Conditions

All applications for the Extreme Sports Mobile Movie Makers competition are subject to these terms and conditions:

Definitions:

  1. The competition – means the Yamgo Extreme Sports Mobile Movie Makers Competition
  2. Registrant - means the person named on the submitted movie treatment
  3. Net revenue – means revenue received from the sale of the movie less production, marketing and distribution costs
  4. Reasonable expenses – means travel, accommodation, insurance and food

Terms and conditions

  1. This competition is open to any person aged 16 or over
  2. Registrants can submit as many entries as they like. Registrants will receive an email to confirm their entry.
  3. Competition winners will have the opportunity to participate in the production of the proposed mobile movie including the casting of actors (which the winner may have already suggested in the movie treatment). Yamgo will provide budget and/or resources to make the film up to the value of £2,000 GBP. All budgetary and final production decisions will be made by Yamgo, but the winner can propose any number of actors and cameramen to participate in the mobile movie. The film will be made for Yamgo, who will retain all rights to all digital formats including but not limited to Mobile, TV, DVD, Print. The winner will receive a 12.5% net revenue royalty and reasonable expenses. Yamgo reserves the right to choose all aspects of the production and exploitation of the rights including but not limited to the subject matter, timing, location, crew and any means of distribution.
  4. Entries must be submitted using the official submission form. Yamgo reserves the right to disqualify any incomplete entries.
    Yamgo will not be responsible for any loss or damage to the competition winner or any of their proposed actors or crew during the production and the winner must ensure they and their proposed crew have all the necessary insurances to participate (can be expensed).
  5. Sexually explicit material or any other material deemed by Yamgo to be offensive or inappropriate will be disqualified from the competition.
  6. Actors and crew may be required to wear branded clothing and use equipment provided by Yamgo, in such cases Yamgo will endeavour (but not guarantee) to gain agreement from any sponsors that any such equipment and clothing becomes the property of those using it for the purposes of making the movie.
  7. Applicants will be selected and contacted by Yamgo. Each finalist may be required to provide additional information to support their proposed movie including but not limited to the interviewing of crew, location scouting, planning etc. In such cases Yamgo will pay reasonable expenses.
  8. Yamgo's decision of the winners will be final.
  9. These terms and conditions are subject to change without notice at the discretion of Yamgo.
  10. The entrant warrants that their submitted movie treatment is original work and the production of the proposed film will not be in breach of any copyright or any other rights whatsoever of any third party.
  11. The entrant agrees that Yamgo may use the entrant's and any proposed crew’s name in any publicity pertaining to the competition.
