Extreme Shorts Competition - Submit your Extreme Sport Film
About the competition
The 2007 Yamgo Extreme Shorts Competition is aimed at encouraging
extreme sports athletes and young film directors to produce films
specifically to be played on mobile phones. The challenge is to
create an original extreme sports short film ('Extreme Short')
and edit the film for a 30 to 120 second mobile phone movie. you
don't need to have a trackrecord in film-making or even need to
know anything about mobile phone technology. We are seeking entries
from any extreme sport athlete, stunt cameraperson or film directors.
5 finalists, as chosen by the Yamgo film pannel, will recieve widespread
exposure through being screened at the 2007 Yamgo Extreme Sports Mobile
Film Festival. Finalists will also recieve royalty payments for the
global distribution of their film to mobile content retailers. The overall
winner will recieve a cash prize of £200 GBP and have
their film marketed globally by the Yamgo publishing team.

- Extreme Water (e.g. White Water Kayaking, Kitesurfing, Cave Diving, Wake boarding etc.)
- Extreme Air (e.g. Skydiving, Paragliding, BASE jumping, Hang Gliding, Paramotoring etc.)
- Extreme Land (e.g. Snowboarding, mountain biking, climbing, BMX, Skate Boarding etc.)
Extreme shorts competition guidelines
- Entries must be between 30 to 120 seconds in length, plus no more
than 3 seconds for the title and 5 seconds for the credits.
- Entries which contain explicit sex or violence, and anything defamatory
will be rejected
- Entrants must ensure that before they submit their film they have
obtained the clearances necessary to allow the film to be screened in
the public including, any music and permission from all persons appearing
in the film.

- Entries must include a fully completed and signed entry form. If there
is more than one Director on the film, then the form must include the
details and signature of every co-director.
- Any voice over or narrative must be in English or dubbed / subtitled
- Judging process: Entries will be viewed by a jury assembled by Yamgo,
who will select the 10 finalists. The 10 finalist entries will be availlable
on www.yamgo.com and members of the public will be invited to vote on
their favourite Extreme Short.
- All entries must be submitted by completing the Extreme
Shorts entry form, closing date for entries is 31 May 2007

You can submit entries on MiniDV tape (prefered format),
HD tape or AVI on a CD-ROM. Please use the following
settings for short films that you can fit on on CD-ROM:
